To demonstrate an understanding for t-shirt design and the process that goes behind them. We were limited to a maximum of nine colors in an attempt to create a design for screen printing, The objective was to create a design that was simplified in color, but visually interesting.

The idea for the design was taken from my sister’s honeymoon. She wanted to find a tee to take with for her trip, but there were no designs she ended up liking. I ended up researching what was on the market for Hawaii shirts and couldn’t find any design I would end up wanting to purchase either. I wanted to use bright colors that are always associated with Hawaii and an image of a volcano and ocean as that is iconic imagery.
